Whole grain breads are easy to make and don’t have to take up your whole day doing it either. Using a bread machine takes almost all the work out of making Light Whole Wheat Bread. Each slice contains 95 calories, one gram of fat and three grams of protein.
No Knead Whole Wheat Breadsticks and Refrigerator Wheat Dinner Rolls are quick to make ‘no need to knead’ recipes. They do require a little work to form into breadsticks and rolls but they are both worth the effort.
Whole wheat flour contains the complete whole wheat kernel including the fiber-rich bran, vitamin E packed wheat germ and the starchy endosperm. It is also high in fiber, and vitamins A, C, E and is a good source of calcium, iron and potassium.
For a true whole grain bread, try increasing the whole wheat flour and decreasing the white flour amount in these recipes as you get used to the delicious and hearty taste of homemade whole wheat bread.
